DEMO SUBMISSIONS
Please send demos to Captains Of Industry, PO Box 404, Durham, DH1 2ZR, United Kingdom. We welcome as many demos as possible and we guarantee that everything received will be listened to. We would be stupid not to now, wouldn’t we? But, when submitting, please remember the following:

• Three songs are more than enough for a first demo. It is unlikely that we will listen to any more than that. Unless all the songs are shit hot.


• Glossy photos and fancy packaging is very nice but not necessary. In the words of Aerosmith, “let the music do the talking”. Snort.


• A brief biog is always useful, including your location, line-up, ages, gigs etc. Some humour doesn’t go amiss, it’s nice to have a little chuckle in the morning. We don’t need to know who your influences are. Really, we don’t.
• Bribes in the form of chocolate bars are a nice thought but it’s unlikely that we will eat them. We don’t know where they have been…..


• Make sure your band name and email address is printed on the CD itself, for obvious reasons.


• Make sure the CD is well packaged as it won’t play very well when in 3 pieces. The CDs that we receive without a case, wrapped in bog roll and in a normal envelope never made it to the stereo. We kid you not.


• We try our best to respond to all submissions, but it may take some time. If we think your demo is ‘da bomb’ it is likely that we will be in touch right away.


• Unsolicited CD’s are fine but please don’t send unsolicited MP3’s. Myspace is much better, if you want to point us in the right direction.


• And finally (yes, we know its all boring) but most importantly, PLEASE ENSURE YOU HAVE PUT ENOUGH STAMPS ON THE ENVELOPE. If we have to go down to the post office depot one more time and pay £1.00 handling fee for underpaid postage……
