Captains Of Industry

is a loosely connected organisation of like-minded writers, musicians, artists, poets, publishers, record labels, producers, fanzines and other deviants of the artistic / altruistic process. Through a simple shared philosophy the collective aims to share resources and provide cross-cultural reference points in order to aid creative output and spread a message of opposition to those who misuse their positions of power - be they artistic, economic or political.

Re: New bands wanted!
Since forming two years ago in the sleepy town of Torpoint, Cornwall, One Match Inferno have built a reputation for being a 'Kick-ass live band' by relentlessly gigging whenever the opportunity arises.
Fronted by the swaggering, charismatic Shaun Gordon, aided and abetted by Guitarist Christopher Tate and Bassist Alex Woodhouse, One Match Inferno embrace the Rock Beast with open arms. A heady mix of Metal, Punk, Grunge and Comic-Book inspired imagery make One Match Inferno a band well worth checking out as an alternative to the alternative.

The band have earned their stripes by playing live in Plymouth and the surrounding area, most notably at Plymouth Phoenix and The Cooperage headlining their own well attended shows and supporting touring bands. They have opened for
many local, national, and international bands, from Plymouth favourites such as The 24-7 City Blueprint, Wishlist, Burning Coalition and Full Speed Alone, to The Isle of Wight's Kody, the newly signed B-Movie Heroes and American post hardcore stylists, Settlefish.

The Inferno made their first Festival appearance at the Maker Festival in July 2005,
going on just before headliners. Playing to a packed out energy room and a particularly kinetic mosh pit, the boys earned a 20 minute extension to their set and an encore!!

OMI have just released the Panache EP as an internet download teaming the title track with live favourite 'Make up your mind' and the full-on 'Through the Rings of Saturn', an instrumental that the band have had cooking for a few months now.

Panache itself is probably the most ferocious aural assault that OMI have released so
far, yet always retaining their keen sense of melody hook and the dynamic interplay
between each band member.

If the Inferno take your fancy, download the Panaché EP at www.onematchinferno.co.uk. We are also on the ubiquitous Myspace: www.myspace.com/onematchinferno and can be contacted at onematchinferno@googlemail.com
